she's back.
Personally, I have been super excited about Kelis's "comeback".
I feel like she is the originator of being original and is YEARS before our time.
Some say she tries too hard but I'm convinced her "fly" is effortless.
She's in a lane of her own.
My whole life is acapella.

X marks my spot.
Walking down Washington ave., SoBe, I saw these ads and melted. Walking past, I slowed down and almost wanted to sit down at the bus stops where displayed. Beautiful, beautiful men. This posts makes me want to just scream, "biiig dadddie"!

wonderland.
While doing my regular fashion blog skims,
I found a picture of this women.
I embrace the lions mane. roaar!

I did my research and found out this womans name is Julia Sarr-Jamois, editor of Wonderland magazine. She modeled in her teens, dropped out of college to pursue an internship with I-D magazine, and has since become the fashion editor at Wonderland magazine. At the age of 22, Julia is taking the fashion world by frenzy because she's something the people are used to seeing. People as in the majority of fashion professionals of course. I can relate to her style, being passionate about vintage and I think she is absolutely beautiful.
Someone I can look up to in the fashion game.

VOGUE- the black barbie issue

"Barbie has been an icon for whole generations which is why I really wanted to give a strong sign in step with the times, and dedicate [this] issue to Black Barbie." -Italian Vogue Editor-In-Cheif, Franca Sozzani.

Reading through different blogs about the issue [mostly comments], I saw that people felt that they[vogue] shouldn't have singled out JUST Black Barbies but instead use the variety of races. Also, some people commented on the fact that they should have used real models instead of the dolls. I personally believe that people just ALWAYS have something to say. I was astonished at the fact they styled these Barbies to a T, each one representing something different in fashion. The fact that the Barbies were black was the icing on the cupcake. It was something never done to this extent, and I can appreciate the thought, vision and work put into it.
here is the link for the complete issue.
